If you'd like to see the full process of how these pens were made, check out the link here: https://youtu.be/9vUZ9WnyFw0

These fountain pens were made from pieces of 1" bamboo and epoxy resin with different coloured mica pigments. All pens were finished with 12-16 coats of thin cyanoacrylate (thin super glue), making them highly durable, virtually waterproof, and stain resistant. Owners of these pens should be cautious about letting them fall on hard surfaces, though, such as concrete, tile, or stone, as the finish may scratch or even crack. These are offered in 6 different mica + kit colour combinations (1: blue mica & chrome kit, 2: white mica & chrome kit, 3: green mica and gold kit, 4: gold mica and gold kit, 5: pink mica and black kit, and 6: black mica and black kit). All pens come with a disposable ink cartridge (black ink) and a reusable ink pump that can be used with any ink colour preference you may have.

Imperfections and Price Reduction (White Pens Only)

Like most things, epoxy resin ages over time when exposed to air and light, and typically, this results in the resin turning yellow. Given the white mica pigment of these specific pens, they will likely yellow (how much depends heavily on UV exposure) over the years of their life. This aging process will not damage the pen in anyway or negatively influence its function, but because it may not keep the pristine white look seen in these photos, these pens will be offered at 30% off the normal price.

Cleaning & Maintenance

For dust and dry debris, these pens should be cleaned off with a soft microfiber cloth or towel. If applying water to the towel, be sure to quickly dry the pen off once finished cleaning. While the cyanoacrylate finish on these pens is completely waterproof, this finish is only present on the outside of the pens and not in the seams between the bamboo/resin portions and the metal kit parts (thus, water may seep inside). For any light scratches that may develop on the pen with prolonged or heavy use, the original gloss can be restored by using a micro fine polishing paste, such as a plastic polish, or an automotive polishing product, such as Meguiars PlastX Plastic Cleaners.

DO NOT use any product containing acetone or similar solvents as these products will dissolve the pen finish.
