If you'd like to see the full process of how these pens were made, check out the link here: https://youtu.be/9vUZ9WnyFw0
This fountain pen was made from redheart (also known as chakte kok), a wood species that ranges from a bright red to a darker brownish red. This pen was finished with 12 coats of thin cyanoacrylate (thin super glue), making them highly durable, virtually waterproof, and stain resistant. The owner of this pen should be cautious about letting it fall on hard surfaces, though, such as concrete, tile, or stone, as the finish may scratch or even crack. Comes with a disposable ink cartridge (black ink) and a reusable ink pump that can be used with any ink colour preference you may have.
Redheart Disclaimer
As wood ages (particularly when exposed to direct oxygen and UV rays), its colour tends to shift, and this is particularly true of redheart. Although most redheart products start off as a very bright red when freshly milled, this colour tends to shift to a darker, almost rusty-coloured brown as the wood ages. As such, we can't guarantee any redheart pen sold will look exactly like those shown in the photos displayed here (your pen may arrive as a bright red or dark reddish brown). If it is important to you that the pen you receive looks like the pens on this website, we recommend ordering a pen made from a different wood specie.
Imperfections and Price Reduction
It is still unclear to us how this happened, but during the final finishing process, the CA finish took on a very slight cloudiness that we can't seem to buff out (this may be difficult to notice in these photos). As such, this pen will be offered at a 25% reduction from the normal price.

Cleaning & Maintenance
For dust and dry debris, these pens should be cleaned off with a soft microfiber cloth or towel. If applying water to the towel, be sure to quickly dry the pen off once finished cleaning. While the cyanoacrylate finish on these pens is completely waterproof, this finish is only present on the outside of the pens and not in the seams between the bamboo/resin portions and the metal kit parts (thus, water may seep inside). For any light scratches that may develop on the pen with prolonged or heavy use, the original gloss can be restored by using a micro fine polishing paste, such as a plastic polish, or an automotive polishing product, such as Meguiars PlastX Plastic Cleaners.
DO NOT use any product containing acetone or similar solvents as these products will dissolve the pen finish.
